Curl (2010, rev. 2013), 10″ for flute, harp, and electronics
In mathematics, “curl” denotes the amount of rotational flow at a given point in a vector field. Curl addresses some of the same preoccupations as Cusp (2009), reconciling stasis, motion, fluency, discontinuity, and elasticity of time. The work employs both prerecorded sound files and live sound processing, and the harp part is ideally performed on an electroacoustic concert harp. |
